The dielectric materials with different refractive index are periodically arranged according to a certain structure to form photonic crystals, which can control the photon transmission regularly. The infrared stealth characteristic of this material is one of the current research focuses. In this paper, the related concepts of photonic crystals and the development of foreign photonic crystal infrared stealth materials are introduced in detail, the characteristics of photonic crystal infrared stealth technology are summarized, and the development of photonic crystal compatible stealth technology is studied, and some enlightenment for the development of photonic crystal infrared stealth technology in the future is given.
