Torpedo weapon can form a huge deterrent to enemy surface ships, and whether it can effectively penetrate its defense system is the key to the research problem. In this study, the penetration probability of torpedo against two kinds of ATT direct interception trajectory and advance angle interception trajectory is studied respectively based on Monte Carlo method. The penetration probability of high-speed/super high-speed torpedo under two different operation modes and different situation between enemy and ourselves is simulated. The results show that under the condition of confrontation, the penetration probability reaches 100% when the attack torpedo speed is increased to 200 kn and the speed ratio between the enemy and our torpedo is 0.25. The ultra high speed torpedo has absolute penetration advantage and high penetration probability. This research can provide theoretical reference for the analysis of combat effectiveness of underwater weapons attacking surface ships.
