Launch System Design and Analysis for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with Rocket Booster

Rocket assisted take-off of UAV is a type of zero-length launch. According to the requirement of zero-length launch for UAV, the launcher with rocket booster is designed according to the technical requirements. The launcher adopted single rocket includes angle booster and designes to lodging type. According to the combination of UAV and rocket booster, the aerodynamic force is modified. The effect of the change of centre of gravity of combination during launching is considered. Through the force analysis is carried out on the launch process, the dynamic model is built. The influence of booster rocket installation deviation to the performance of taking off is analysed. Using the simulation method and combining with the engineering practice, the launch parameters is designed. The flying date shows that this system meet requirements and the system works in a good state.
